Built in 1928 by John Compton Organ Company (Acton, UK). Opus A 379. For the Ritz Cinema, Warrington, UK. The organ was enlarged and installed Her Majesty’s Theatre, Ballarat in 1978-1982 by the Theatre Organ Society of Australia, Ballarat Chapter (assisted by George Stephens). The theatre underwent extensive refurbishment between 2017-2024, with the organ out of commission during the works. Post-renovation cleaning of the organ by Pipe Organs Victoria Pty. Ltd. in 2024.
